Every once in a great while my little girl likes to get "girlie". This was on Thanksgiving. She decided the black and white poke-a-dot dress with the cute red poppies just wasn't enough....
..so she added TWO tutu's and her beautiful Fancy Nancy dancin' shoes complete with feathers on top.
This layout started from a sketch I got from somewhere online...can't remember where.
I already had the paper pack and matching embellishments in pink, black and white. I bought them when they were on sale knowing that some day I would need girlie paper. I added several of the borders to the bottom and crossed some of them to make it a little more interesting. I also used some red fibers from a homemade kit my cousin made me for Christmas a few years back. (That will be a later post.)
The word "DANCE" is from the Once Upon A Princess cartridge and I just realized that I need a "?" at the end of my question. Ooops!! Anyway, cut in red then layered in black.
I used pop-dots to lift them off the page a little but you can't really tell by the picture.
I used the Wild Card cartridge for "May I have this" and welded it together with my gypsy. I arched it around the edge of the circle. The slippers are from the Shall We Dance cartridge. I think it is a Cricut Circle cartridge and the only time I have used it. :(
Finally, I added some bling scrolls. Boy, was that hard! It kept sticking to everywhere but where I wanted them to. I have since received an iRock gem setter (thanks sister), which takes a little longer but is well worth it.
Thanks for checking out today's post.
P.S. I am almost finished with my first blog candy surprise...stay tuned.
A very charming layout. You did a great job.
