Baby Cakes

Many years ago I used to make Baby Cakes, then everyone I knew stopped having babies.  Now many of my younger cousins and their friends are older and having babies.  This cake was made for my cousin's friend, who was having a boy.
The theme for the shower was a jungle so the little rattles were perfect.  But we thought it needed more so off to the Gypsy I went....
I created the palm trees from the Dinosaur Tracks cartridge.  I cut 2 palms in the blackout option and pop dotted them with a skewer in the middle to stick in the cake.  The I layered each side with the truck and double layered the palm frawns to give them some dimension.  I did some doodling around the frawns just to increase the "cute".  I also added some twine (my favorite thing right now) to the trunk.
I cut the letters for the name from the Varsity Letter cartridge.
The mom to be loved it.  Cute but not too foo-foo!  Tune in later to see some creations that my Auntie M has recently done.  They are beautiful and I want to share them with you.

I haven't done much this week because it was spring break and I was taking out time for the little people.  But next week I will be back to work creating some more stuff to share!!

  2. Your diaper cake came out beautiful. I've only made two of them myself so I'm still learning. I also wanted to let you know that I have a blog award on my blog for you. Cindy
