A Special Gift

On Thanksgiving the kids were all dressed up so we decided to take pictures for the Christmas cards.  Since everyone was there we included them too.  This picture with my mom and her grand kids was one of her favorite.  She bugged and bugged for a copy but I didn't want to just hand over a picture.  I had to make it look nice.  :)
The paper believe it or not was from a pack that my Mother-in-law bought at .....Costco, of all places.  There are some really beautiful printed papers and they all coordinate nicely.  I also used some card stock from Stampin' Up to pull it all together.
The flowers were a combination of paper ones cut from the Cricut, fabric ones from the little jars at Michael's and some others that I got at a Scrapbooking convention that was here last year.  The Monogram letters are from Gypsy font monogram and the rest of the lettering is from Plantin Schoolbook.  I thought it was the closest to the monogram style.  The large burgundy "doily" is from Ornamental Iron...(i think).
My mom loved it and was totally surprised.  And finally understood why I would not just get the picture printed and give her one.  :)
Until next time, surprise someone you love with a little something handmade and from the heart!
